Goodman Ray is celebrating its 30th Birthday today!
Over the last 30 years Goodman Ray has grown to become what is now recognised as the Family Law Firm. The firm has an international reputation for excellence and continues to be a powerhouse in children law. Our accredited specialist lawyers deal with a wide range of cases including complex medical cases; cases where the effects of undiagnosed medical conditions are confused with signs of abuse; allegations of physical injury such as shaken baby syndrome, as well as cases involving allegations of sexual and emotional abuse. Peggy Ray, continues to lead the children department.
The divorce/financial department, headed by Trudi Featherstone, is an increasingly prominent aspect of the firm’s portfolio attracting both domestic and international high net worth individuals seeking representation in complex financial matters.
We have a highly regarded specialist international adoption team, headed by Jemma Dally, with a reputation for excellence amongst peers and other professionals. We regularly represent gay, lesbian and bi-sexual families in issues surrounding same sex relationships (Civil Partnership work), parenting, surrogacy and assisted reproduction and continue to build on our surrogacy, fertility and same sex parenting practise by establishing a new department in the firm which has gone from strength to strength with a number of reported cases in this area.
The mediation department, launched in 2013, compliments the firm. We offer a therapeutic service to our clients through our close links with psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists to complement our specialist services.
We have a specialist team dealing with cases of child abduction and forced marriage. We have close ties with a number of organisations working in that area and regularly offer them training and advice.
The firm is listed in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, with a record number of lawyers being listed in the 2014 edition.
