Goodman Ray supports Black Lives Matter
Mutual respect and diversity are central components of our values and culture at Goodman Ray. As a firm we strive to uphold these values by supporting our staff, clients and the communities that we live and work in.
Black Lives Matter is a hugely important movement and we know that the last few weeks have been very difficult for many people. The death of George Floyd has sparked protests around the globe in aid of the Black Lives Matter movement. George’s name is not in isolation; he is one of many of the Black community who have fallen victim to police brutality and wider social and economic discrimination. While many of us cannot know what racial systemic oppression feels like, it is important that we play an active part in educating ourselves and ensuring that those who experience this oppression on a daily basis are heard and supported.
Goodman Ray, strongly condemns racism, bigotry and supports the Black Lives Matter movement, and all who strive for change. We are part of the collective, challenging these issues and improving conditions within the legal sector. We will be looking at our internal structures to ensure that both our clients and employees are supported, to maintain diversity, and to see how we can help effect change to the wider legal sector.
