Helen is an experienced family law solicitor, advising on all aspects of children law and relationship breakdown.
Helen has considerable experience in Children Law matters, regularly advising parents (and other family members such as grandparents) regarding arrangements for children such as where they should live and how much time they should spend with the other parent. Helen also advises on relocation matters (both within and outside England and Wales).
In care proceedings brought by the Local Authority, Helen represents parents, other family members and children (Helen is accredited to the Law Society Children Panel and is therefore able to represent guardians or take instructions directly from children where appropriate).
Helen also advises on divorce, civil partnership dissolution and the financial aspects of separation and divorce.
Helen will explore all options such as mediation and other forms of non-court resolution, but has considerable experience of representing clients within court proceedings where this is necessary. Helen frequently conducts her own advocacy in the Family Court.
Helen worked for a regional firm based in Brighton for over 10 years prior to joining Goodman Ray in March 2022 and continues to advise and represent clients across the south-east.
