Bethany is a Trainee Solicitor. She joined Goodman Ray in September 2017 where she worked in the domestic abuse department for several years as a paralegal. She has a broad range of experience in both domestic abuse and private law children matters. She has experience in relocation cases, and cases involving coercive control and parental alienation.
Bethany commenced her Training Contract in May 2022. In the first stage of her training she assisted in complex public law cases involving non-accidental injury, wardship, and fabricated illness. In the second stage of her training she worked in the international children team and assisted in complex surrogacy and adoption cases.
Bethany is now in the final stage of her training contract and is working in the divorce and matrimonial finance team assisting with financial remedy and private children disputes following relationship breakdown of married couples, civil partners and unmarried couples. In relation to financial matters, this includes negotiating financial settlements, advising on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, financial consent orders and all contested proceedings. She also assists the mediators within the team.
EDUCATION
Bethany graduated with a First-Class Degree in Law from the University of Greenwich. She completed her Legal Practice Course in 2020 achieving a Distinction.
