Edward primarily works on children matters (public and private law), but he has a broad range of experience in family law, including matrimonial, domestic abuse and international cases. Edward qualified as a solicitor in May 2020 and during his training at Goodman Ray he assisted on a number of complex cases including reported cases to do with issues such as: shared care and religious differences (Re X (Number 4: Religious Differences: Shared Care) [2019] EWFC B81); child abduction and committal (Button v Salama & Anor [2019] EWHC 363 (Fam)); and publicity in child abduction cases (RJ v Tigipko & Ors [2019] EWHC 1579 (Fam)).
Before converting to the law, Edward worked for a number of years in account and project management positions at commercial organisations. Edward has volunteered at Toynbee Hall legal advice centre, assisting clients in London’s East End with a range of legal issues, and at the Free Representation Unit (FRU), representing clients at Social Security Tribunals. Edward has co-authored articles on Brexit and family law for the Family Law journal.
