CONTACT Jennifer Crossthwaite

Jennifer joined Goodman Ray in December 2017 following completion of her Training Contract in Hertfordshire. Jennifer is part of the matrimonial team, and specialises in divorce proceedings and financial settlements following the breakdown of a marriage, including drafting and preparing financial consent orders.  Jennifer also deals with pre and post nuptial agreements, separation agreements and cohabitation agreements for couples not entering into marriage.

Jennifer also specialises in private children work, including arrangements for children made by agreement between the parties and also through the court process. Jennifer deals with cases regarding the relocation of parents with their children and also cases which involve serious allegations of harm.

Jennifer is an active member of London Resolution, an organisation of family lawyers who seek to find non-confrontational approaches to resolve matters. Jennifer adopts this approach in her work, attempting to avoid court proceedings where possible and putting the needs of any children first.

Jennifer is on the London Resolution Training and Learning committee and develops new ways for other Resolution lawyers to develop their knowledge of the ever-changing field of family law.

Jennifer puts the needs of her client first, taking note of what is most important to them from the initial consultation and then continuing to support them throughout their case.

  • “I retire at the end of next week. I would not be able to do so in the great frame of mind I’m in, without your work and support.  I am eternally grateful to you and all at Goodman Ray.
  • “I also wanted to let you know how grateful I am for all your hard work. Getting divorced was a major unexpected life event for me which came with many emotions and a confusing world to navigate personally and legally. Your were an important voice when I was overwhelmed with anger and broken heartedness and I wanted to say thank you for all your support and guidance from the start to the very end. I’m sure you have many clients, so your prompt responses and attention to detail really meant a lot to me and helped me regain my voice. I am back on my feet again and loving this new chapter in my life. Thank you again for your excellent work and professionalism.”
