Peggy Ray wins Jordan Family Law Award

Peggy Ray was awarded the Cornwell Award for Outstanding Contribution to Family Law award at the Jordan Family Law Awards 2014 held last night.

Peggy has had a distinguished career over the last 30 years.  She is a pioneer in many areas of practice, as well as advising successive governments on policy and legislation.  She has consistently championed the rights of children and parents and her grasp of policy issues is balanced by her finely honed client skills as a straight-talking and good-humoured lawyer.

Peggy has previously won UNICEF’s Child Rights Lawyer of the Year in 2001, and Family Lawyer of the Year (Legal Aid Lawyer Awards) in 2005.  She is recognised in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500.

The award recognises an individual who had made a major contribution to the field of family law.
